The figure here is the spot price per troy ounce divided by 31.1035 and multiplied by 1. Spot is the wholesale reference for pure metal; bullion dealers sell above it (a premium of roughly 5–15% for one-ounce coins) and buy back a little below it. Scrap buyers pay a percentage of the melt value, typically 85–95% for palladium.

Is this the price a shop will pay me?
No. It is the pure-metal value at wholesale spot. Buyers deduct refining and margin, so expect 85–95% of melt for palladium scrap and slightly below spot for recognised bullion.
Why is a troy ounce different from a regular ounce?
Precious metals use the troy system: one troy ounce is 31.1035 g, versus 28.3495 g for the avoirdupois ounce used for food and body weight. Twelve troy ounces make a troy pound.
